The versatile Black Bean Burger
Perfect in the old time favourite Burger as well as served with veggies, salad or rolled into balls and added to pasta or served with a dipping sauce.
I love it when you make a great recipe and there's heaps of left overs that can be frozen for quick meals later. I always do that when I make burgers because for some reason they're one of those "lets just have something easy for dinner" meals. This batch I made at my kids apartment so I was able to leave them with a container full of balls and a few burger patties for later.
Black Beans have been a favourite with body builder and fitness enthusiasts ever since I can remember. Not only are they a great source of meet free protein they're also high in fibre, iron, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper, and zinc in black beans all contribute to building and maintaining bone structure and strength.
A report I read from Medical News Today also mentions that they are great for lowering blood pressure, managing diabetes, warding off hearth disease, preventing cancer and maintaining healthy digestion to help with wright control. No wonder Jack was so keen to get to the top of the bean stalk!
